The Ultimate WTF Guide to ITB BErlin
First time at ITB? Seasoned pro?
Either way, this WTF (Where’s The Fun?!) guide will save your feet, your schedule, and your sanity. Let’s go:
Choose the Right Entrance
Messe Berlin is MASSIVE – walking from one end to another can take 30+ minutes (no joke). So let’s plan ahead:
Messe Nord/ICC/ZOB: Get off here and you will land right in front of (surprise) the northern entrance: S-Bahn 41/42/46, U-Bahn U2 and Busses M49, X34, X49, 139, 218 are going there.
Messe Süd (the fancy glass entrance) is reachable via station “Messe Süd” (Eichkamp). S-Bahn S3, S9 and Bus 349 will get you there.
Other entrances? Might be open, might not. Stick to North or South to play it safe.
Study the Map Like Your ITB Life Depends on It
3 levels, 30+ halls, and enough walking to qualify for a marathon. Messe Berlin is huge – If you don’t plan ahead, you’ll either get lost or end up with an impressive step count (and equally impressive blisters).
Here’s the breakdown: Touristic Regions: Country & destination booths, grouped by geography.
Segments: Think LGBTQ+ travel, medical tourism, hotel tech, business travel, and more.
Convention Areas: Where the panels, keynotes, and conferences happen.
Tourism Companies: Hotels, airlines, and travel brands (@Hall 8.1. “HSMA” is the place to connect for hoteliers).
Media Center: Where press magic happens.
Pro Tip: Plan your meetings by cluster – don’t book back-to-back sessions on opposite sides of the venue unless you enjoy frantic power walking. And if you must cross long distances, check out the shuttle stops (trust us, your feet will thank you).

Best Days to Attend?
For business? Tuesday & Wednesday.
For suffering? Thursday. (Most people are recovering from the nights before. Just saying.)
Where to Meet Without a Booth?
Food court in hall 8 might be your best bet – just avoid German lunch hours (12:00-14:00) unless you enjoy scavenger hunts for seats.
Where to Smoke?
Maybe just… don’t? But if you must, find the designated outdoor areas between halls.
Where’s the Party?
Afternoon booth parties? Check! You can easily recognize them by the crowds. We highly recommend stopping by the Apaleo Community Meet-up (Tue, 17:00-20:00 @Hall 9 Booth 217b).
Satellite networking events with? Check! Have a look at what Raizup and Travel Massive are up to!
Pink Pillow breakfast,
fancy invite only dinners, and
raves in the clouds? Also check. Find the right people, and you’ll find the fun.
